Schenkeveld helps transition to healthy and more plant-based eating at Reinier de Graaf hospital

At Eatthis' Captains Dinner, Reinier de Graaf hospital and Schenkeveld met. Schenkeveld immediately indicated that they were willing to support Reinier de Graaf's sustainability initiative. Eatthis is a platform of companies from horticulture to contribute to health and prevention.

Alie Rozendal, sustainability coordinator from Reinier de Graaf has several projects underway. One of the challenges is to transform the food offering to healthy and plant-based food. This involves the supply at the bedside, but also in the company restaurant. Everything starts with the employees; they can become the ambassadors of this transition.

This is how Reinier de Graaf and Schenkeveld are now making a start during the introduction training, which is held every first Monday of the month for all new employees. From the sustainability initiative, all participants receive the tomato bag to take home with a bunch of tomatoes, a delicious recipe from Caring Chefs and a comic about the sustainability policy from Reinier de Graaf hospital....

A great start to hopefully even more initiatives from Schenkeveld or Eatthis, showing Westland, that they can be the pharmacy of the Netherlands.
