Every day, many people cycle past the Schenkeveld Schipluiden dam. And some of them wonder, what is happening there at that tomato farm?

Years ago, we started selling our tomatoes locally. When Schenkeveld Schipluiden started, we could no longer deal with all these people at the processing area. There were so many every day that it kept our employees from their work (changing money, picking vine tomatoes, having a chat, taking a look etc.) Still, we liked selling locally and came up with a way to offer it by means of a vending machine.

Peter Schenkeveld took charge of the sales house and he still does to this day! Since then, the self-built sales house has been replaced by our one and only Schenkstore. Besides being a vending machine, it is also a way to let people take a look at Schenkeveld inside.

Experience Schenkeveld! That's the slogan you can read on the Schenkstore. Experience can be done by tasting the products we sell, but also by looking around the Schenkstore. Every quarter, we will provide visitors with new information about the ins and outs of Schenkeveld. What actually happens at a tomato farm? How do they deal with sustainable growing? How does a tomato grow? What are the functions within and tomato nursery? The list goes on and on.
The Schenkstore will show you the experience of the company behind the tomato.

With the arrival of the new Schenkstore, a few more things have changed around sales. For instance, one can now use debit cards, cucumbers are on sale alongside tomatoes, and by popular demand it is now possible to buy soup tomatoes.

We hope that visitors to the Schenkstore get the experience of Schenkeveld. Whether it is through tasting our products or through the information that passes.

Have you already experienced Schenkeveld by visiting our Schenkstore?
