At Schenkeveld, we want to be as involved as possible with our employees. We find it important that everyone enjoys their work. We want to see that reflected not only on the shop floor, but also after work. Many of our employees work on flexible contracts. Good working and living conditions are of great importance, creating the right balance to function well. Experience shows that bottlenecks often arise in salary and accommodation. You have to see these important aspects as your foundation. To ensure this, together with the employment agency we look for the right solutions to keep employees happy.

Schenkeveld works together with Euronet. They are a family business and are very experienced with work in greenhouse horticulture, mainly focusing on tomato cultivation. This is nice because we can communicate well with each other and therefore make the right choices. I was allowed to visit Euronet. They gave me a tour of the office and showed me how they work. It was nice to meet everyone personally. Over a delicious cup of coffee, I was explained all the functions within the company and we discussed various matters.

Afterwards, I did a number of home visits, these were houses where our employees live. I wanted to know how they live apart from work. Euronet has a lot of housing, from flats to maisonettes. Each house is equipped with enough rooms and all necessary necessities. Often within walking distance of several shops and within 35 minutes of Schenkeveld. Another important point is that Euronet approaches everyone personally and communicates with short lines of communication. This prevents frustrations and reduces the likelihood of employees leaving.

My visit was over, I keep a good feeling from this visit. I am happy that our employees are approached well and thought of. Satisfied employees like to come back and we like to see that. That makes us happy.
